About
Practice that keeps you in the text.
TypeByFaith.com is a Bible practice platform from Dacfact LLC. You can type it, read it, memorize it, pray through it, or sing it, and the point of every one of those is the same: more time with the words themselves.
Why it exists
It started as a founder's project: type Bible passages to sharpen a practical skill and read more Scripture at the same time. There were plenty of typing tutors and plenty of Bible apps, but almost nothing built to do both properly.
That became the whole idea. Typing a verse is slower than reading it, and the slowness is the feature. You cannot skim a passage you are typing character by character. Along the way you also get faster at the keyboard, which is useful at work, at school, and everywhere else.
Most features need a free account. You can try the Psalm 23 demo first, with no account and no card. A free account adds verse-by-verse typing, Reading Mode, Memory Verse, Prayers, Verse Songs and progress tracking.

Where the content comes from
- Scripture
- King James Version by default, plus the American Standard Version and the Berean Standard Bible. All three are public domain in the United States, so you can read, type and share them freely. Compare the translations.
- Verse Songs music
- Original compositions produced with AI music tools, each one singing a passage word for word. No licensing costs, which is what keeps the songbook affordable.
- Prayers
- 200 faith declarations written for the app across ten categories. They are prayers in our own words rather than verbatim Scripture, and both narration voices are recorded for all of them.
- Trivia
- 994 questions covering all 66 books, each checked against the passage it comes from. The 43 that turn on KJV-specific wording are flagged in the interface.
Questions, or something to tell us
The FAQ covers most of it, from daily limits to school licences. If it doesn't answer yours, write to us. Feedback from people using the app daily is what decides what gets built next.
